01 — What Is ItWhat Are XM Turbo Stocks? — Explained Simply

XM Turbo Stocks are a special category of stock-based CFD instruments unique to XM. They work like regular stock CFDs — you speculate on price movement without owning the underlying share — but with two key differences that make them suitable specifically for intraday traders:

🔑 Two defining features of XM Turbo Stocks

  • Leverage up to 1:200 — regular XM stock CFDs are limited to 1:5 (EU) or 1:20 (global). Turbo Stocks offer 1:200 — 10–40× more exposure per dollar. This amplifies both profits and losses proportionally.
  • Daily expiry — ALL Turbo Stock positions automatically close at the end of each trading day. You cannot hold Turbo Stock positions overnight. This eliminates overnight swap costs but also means you cannot run a long-term position.

02 — Available CompaniesWhich Companies Are Available as XM Turbo Stocks?

XM offers approximately 7 major global companies as Turbo Stocks. The selection focuses on the most actively traded tech and consumer brands:

04 — How to TradeHow to Trade XM Turbo Stocks on MT5

  1. Open XM MT5 — Turbo Stocks are only available on MT5, not MT4. Download MT5 from Members Area if you haven't already.
  2. Find the instrument — In Market Watch (Ctrl+M), right-click → Show All, or use the Search function and type "Turbo". Alternatively, go to View → Symbols → search Turbo.
  3. Add to Market Watch — right-click the Turbo Stock you want → Show in Market Watch.
  4. Open the chart — double-click the instrument in Market Watch to open its chart. Check current price and check the expiry time (daily close).
  5. Place your trade — right-click chart → Trade → New Order, or use one-click trading. Set your lot size carefully — 1:200 leverage means small lot sizes represent significant exposure.
  6. Monitor and close before expiry — all Turbo Stock positions automatically close at the end of the trading day. You may want to close manually before that to capture your target or limit loss.

⚠️ Risk warning — 1:200 leverage is extremely high

With 1:200 leverage, a 0.5% adverse price move in the underlying stock results in a 100% loss of your margin for that position. Always use stop-loss orders and only allocate a small portion of your account to Turbo Stocks. They are intended for experienced intraday traders, not beginners.
