Click Register XM Account Now on this page. This opens the official XM registration form via a secure affiliate gateway. Verify the URL shows my.xm.com — never register via links from WhatsApp groups, DMs, or unofficial third-party sites. The registration form itself takes 5 minutes to complete.
Enter your full legal name exactly as it appears on your government ID — this is the single most common cause of KYC rejection. Any difference (nickname, abbreviated name, missing middle name) between your registration name and your ID causes a mismatch that requires manual correction. Also enter your email, phone number, and country of residence.
In the Partner Code field, type exactly: 6JBMJ (all caps, no spaces). This is the last field before Submit and is easy to miss. Then select your account type (see Section 4), platform (MT4 or MT5), and base currency (USD recommended). These settings are permanent — they cannot be changed after account creation. You can open additional accounts later.
XM sends a confirmation email within 2–3 minutes. Check spam/junk if it doesn't arrive. Click the Verify Email button. This same email contains your 8-digit account number and MT4/MT5 trading password — save both immediately. These are different from your Members Area login and are needed to connect MT4/MT5 to your account.
Login to my.xm.com with your email and Members Area password. Navigate to Complete Your Profile or Verify Account. Upload two documents: (1) your government-issued photo ID, and (2) a proof of address dated within 3 months. How to Take Document Photos That Pass XM KYC on the First Attempt
- Surface: Place document on a flat, dark surface — contrast helps the system read text clearly
- Lighting: Use natural indoor daylight — avoid flash (causes glare that obscures text) and avoid direct sunlight (overexposure)
- Angle: Hold your phone parallel to the document — not at an angle. Angled photos distort text and are frequently rejected
- Coverage: All four corners of the document must be visible — do not crop any edge
- Focus: Tap the screen before shooting to focus. Zoom in on the photo after taking it — if you can't read the text clearly, it will be rejected
- iPhone fix: Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible before shooting. Saves as JPEG instead of HEIC which XM doesn't accept

07 — Troubleshooting10 XM Account Registration Problems and Their Exact Fixes
These are the most common issues encountered during XM registration, with specific actionable fixes — not generic "contact support" advice.
Cause: Email in spam/junk folder, wrong email address entered, or temporary mail server delay.
Cause: Blurry photo, document edges cropped, wrong file format (HEIC on iPhone), expired ID, or incomplete document (missing back side of national ID).
Cause: Nickname used during registration, middle name missing or added, or transliteration difference (Arabic/Thai names spelled differently).
